CUPRA Models Now Offer ‘Park & Pay’ Feature by Parkopedia

London, UK / Martorell, Spain – 27 January 2025 – In a move to enhance convenience for their drivers, Parkopedia and SEAT S.A. have partnered to offer in-car payment functionality for parking. This collaboration will benefit drivers of CUPRA models with the CUPRA Navi system, as they can now access seamless ‘Park & Pay’ in-car payment functionality across 17 European countries.

This new setup eliminates the hassle of searching for parking machines upon arrival at a car park and bypasses issues such as out-of-order machines, lack of change, card payment difficulties, and more. The service is powered by Parkopedia, a market-leading parking data provider with a comprehensive location database and Payment Platform for in-car payments at both on-street and off-street locations.

Currently available on CUPRA Born and Tavascan models, this service is planned to be added to the remaining CUPRA range and SEAT models in 2025. The decision to offer in-car payment for parking was driven by the strong interest expressed by European drivers in a recent Parkopedia Global Driver Survey. Nearly two-thirds of respondents indicated a desire to pay for parking through their in-car infotainment system, making it the most requested service for in-car payments.

Markus Dohl, VP Sales & BD Europe at Parkopedia, acknowledged the demand for in-car payments for parking and expressed excitement about the partnership with SEAT S.A., saying, “European motorists have a particular interest in being able to access in-car payments for parking, so we are pleased to be working with SEAT S.A. to provide this valued service for their drivers, unlocking seamless payments for parking sessions and adding convenience to their journeys. We look forward to the roll-out of this service to the rest of the SEAT and CUPRA model range in 2025.”

Currently, the ‘Park & Pay’ service is available in 17 European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Parkopedia is a leading connected car services provider used by automakers, organizations, and millions of drivers worldwide. Their services help drivers find and pay for parking, EV charging, fuel, and tolls in 90 countries. Additionally, Parkopedia is developing highly detailed indoor maps and corresponding algorithms to aid drivers and self-driving vehicles in locating available parking spaces and EV chargers.
