Chilterns Neuro Centre benefits from successful Charity Golf Day

On Wednesday 12 June, 2024, golf enthusiasts gathered at the exclusive Stocks Golf Club for the Chilterns Neuro Centre’s Charity Golf Day. With near perfect weather conditions and a pristine green, the day was filled with friendly competition and sportsmanship, raising over £13,000 for the charity.

The event, which was attended by golfers, sponsors, and volunteers, aimed to raise funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre in Wendover. This charity is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes.

Leading the team ‘2 Gunners 2 Cannons’, James Lawton was not only the individual winner but also the team captain of the winning team in the team competition. The event concluded with a special prize-giving ceremony, followed by a barbecue, raffle, and silent auction to further support the Centre.

Hannah Prentice, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, emphasized the importance of events like this in raising funds and creating awareness about the charity’s work. “Events like this are crucial in helping us raise funds that provide people with life-changing treatments, therapies, and support,” she said.

Charlie Hicks, Managing Director at EIC Insurance, expressed their pride in supporting the Centre once again. “As a business, it is great to support such a great event and, as a golfer, it was great to be involved in such a well-organised event,” he said.

For those who missed the opportunity to participate in this event, there is another chance to support the charity by signing up for the second Charity Golf Day at Chiltern Forest Golf Club on Friday 13 September.

The Chilterns Neuro Centre is committed to providing treatments and services to individuals with MS, Parkinson’s, and stroke survivors. Their goal is to empower these individuals to live life to the fullest. To learn more about the Centre’s work, visit their website at chilternsneurocentre.org.
