Hope Spring, a clean water advocacy charity, has called on Muslims and non-Muslims to send electronic greetings cards in celebration of Eid Adha, the second most important festival in the Islamic calendar which takes place on either the 29th or 30th of June this year.
The funds raised by Hope Spring’s Eid Adha fundraising campaign will go towards building a borehole or a well for one of the communities affected by lack of clean water in West Africa. Last year’s corporate charity ecard campaign is said to have funded a number of projects for the charity, including five boreholes and menstrual hygiene workshops.
Seun Olonade, Platform Manager for Hope Spring eCards, said: “We had a great Eid Fitr fundraising campaign and we’re looking to top it off with an equally successful Eid Adha campaign. We urge our supporters and visitors to our website to send Eid Adha eCards and make a donation, or to send an Eid Adha card without making a donation via our free ecards page.”
More information about Hope Spring Eid Adha, their projects and other information about the charity can be found on their website and social media page.
