ChangeX and Paramount Global have joined forces to launch the World Mental Health Day Community Fund, a new grant initiative aimed at supporting communities in taking action towards mental health and well-being.
Funded by Paramount Global, the multi-region community fund will provide support to communities in the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, France, and Chile. Interested communities can apply for funding through September 22, 2024, with the goal of implementing their projects on World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024.
This initiative is an extension of Paramount’s commitment to promoting mental health and well-being globally. The World Mental Health Day Community Fund follows the success of Paramount’s U.S.-focused grant program, which was launched on Mental Health Action Day and supported by select CBS-owned local stations. This year, the program provided grants to 22 non-profit organizations, reaching young people across the country.
Crystal Barnes, Executive Vice President of Social Impact and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at Paramount, expressed the company’s dedication to making a positive impact on critical social issues, including mental health. She stated, “Launching this initiative in many markets around the world will further the ability of communities to take action and promote mental health and well-being.”

The World Mental Health Day Community Fund will provide grants of up to $2,000 USD to up to 200 community projects. Interested applicants can apply for funding to bring a proven mental health and well-being focused idea to life or to fund an original project idea. Funding for adopting proven ideas will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying applicants.
