Briars Group Strengthens Board with Three New Appointments Amid Ambitious Growth Plans

Last Updated on: 4th November 2024, 10:55 am

Global expansion specialists Briars Group have welcomed three senior executives to their board as they push forward with their plans for continued growth.

Briars Group, which has been operating for 30 years, has assisted over 3,000 companies in expanding into 150 countries worldwide.

The new board members—Helen Grey, Phill Anderson, and Stefan Dunn—each bring significant industry experience to the company, adding strength to the senior leadership team.

Helen Grey, appointed as Global Sales Director, brings with her two decades of experience in the software and services sectors. She previously led the Field Sales Accounting Division at Sage and has since played a key role in developing global solutions across accounting, payroll, and HR services.

Phill Anderson, now Briars Group’s Global HR Director, is an expert in human capital strategy and large-scale business growth. Anderson has a strong track record of leading HR initiatives throughout mergers and acquisitions both in the UK and internationally. His expertise has also been vital in private equity ownership transitions and exits.

Stefan Dunn, appointed as Global Transformation Director, will focus on helping businesses unlock value, streamline their operations, and drive growth. With over 18 years of experience in outsourced professional services, Dunn has a wealth of knowledge in promoting global expansion through the use of technology, automation, and innovation.

These new appointments join an already seasoned leadership team at Briars Group, with Chief Financial Officer Gemma Bignell and Client Solutions Director Emma Lisauskas both contributing to the firm’s 30-year history of success in global expansion.

Andrew Fahey, CEO of Briars Group, expressed his excitement, saying: “We are thrilled that Helen, Phill and Stefan have joined the team, and they each add vital experience to the business at board level.

“The expertise that these appointments bring to the team across HR, accountancy and outsourced professional services will prove invaluable and gives us a board that can not only drive customer experience, product development and growth but one which is accustomed to M&A and investor cycles. This puts us in a great position to take the company forward.”

The announcement of these appointments comes as Briars Group prepares to embark on ambitious growth plans for 2025. These include the establishment of regional hubs across the UK and a focus on strengthening the company’s presence in North America, Europe, and Asia.

With 67% of the board newly appointed and boasting extensive global experience, including leadership roles within blue-chip companies, Briars Group is positioning itself to accelerate international growth while maintaining its commitment to service excellence, a hallmark of the company’s success.

Andrew continued: “We have built up a strong reputation for helping businesses expand over the last 30 years and now feel the time is right to grow our presence globally.

“The new appointments are a vital part of our goal to become undeniably the number one provider of international business expansion services and I am excited to see the effect they will have on our operations in the months ahead. This will undoubtedly drive forward our clients’ experience, which remains our top priority.”

Briars Group serves as a trusted partner for businesses across various sectors, providing a full suite of services for international expansion. These include expertise in accounting, tax, HR and payroll, international banking, foreign exchange, and global mobility.
