Blixt Group Injects External Investment to Propel Fidelity Energy into Next Phase of Growth

Fidelity Energy, a leading energy advisory and brokerage firm, has announced a significant investment from private equity firm Blixt Group to support its continued growth and expansion in the sector. The investment, which comes after nearly a decade of success for Fidelity Energy, will enable the company to pursue organic growth and strategic acquisitions across the UK and Europe.

Blixt Group, a pan-European private equity firm based in London, brings with it access to over €250 million of committed long-term institutional investor funding. The firm specializes in supporting growth-oriented companies and has a strong track record of helping its partners build leading businesses. Blixt has a particular focus on professional and advisory services, with growing platforms in insurance broking, legal, accounting, and wealth management.

Fidelity Energy’s growth plan is centered around investing in its team and core operating platform, deepening relationships with clients and partners, and expanding its service offerings to include a wide range of energy, net zero, and sustainability advisory services. This strategy will be accelerated by strategic acquisitions across the UK and Europe.

The investment will be led by Fidelity Energy CEO John Haw and Sales Director Sean Dixon, both of whom bring decades of experience in the energy broker market. They will be supported by Guil Hastings and Kevan Walsh, respectively Chairperson and Non-Executive Director, who bring their expertise in business scale-up and energy brokerage to the team.

In a statement, John Haw, CEO of Fidelity Energy, expressed his excitement for the future of the company: “Since our founding nearly 10 years ago, Fidelity Energy has become a trusted advisor to our clients and partners. With this investment from Blixt, we are now poised to expand our reach and further develop our service offerings. Blixt’s client-first approach and experience in supporting businesses in high-growth phases make them the perfect partner to take Fidelity Energy to the next level. We are constantly striving to improve our service offerings and look forward to working with Blixt to achieve this.”

Carl Harring, CEO of Blixt Group, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We have been closely following Fidelity Energy’s progress and are impressed by what John, Sean, and the team have accomplished. We are excited to support them in their growth and help them address the ever-evolving energy market, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability. Our experience in other markets will be invaluable in helping Fidelity Energy build a market-leading proposition and continue its current growth trajectory.”
