Firemind, a prominent Generative AI Amazon Web Services Consultancy Partner, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Wheeler as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Ben brings over two decades of IT, technical project management, and AI/ML leadership experience to Firemind, further strengthening the company’s position as a key player in the Generative AI domain.
Ben Wheeler is already familiar with Firemind, having previously collaborated with the company during his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as one of their specialised AI partners. Recognising the impressive work being done at Firemind and the immense potential of Generative AI, Ben has chosen Firemind as the next step in his illustrious career. Ben’s journey in IT began over twenty years ago with Swansea Council. His career has since taken him through various technical roles, including overseeing data center migrations for renowned clients such as House of Fraser, Welsh Water, WHSmith, and the Environment Agency. Ben’s extensive experience encompasses both hands-on and pre-sales roles at various IT service providers, culminating in a significant 5.5-year tenure at Amazon Web Services, where he led AI/ML partner development across EMEA.
As the CTO at Firemind, Ben will leverage his expertise to shape the company’s technical vision, drive the adoption of cutting-edge solutions, and lead the development of innovative services that distinguish Firemind in the industry. His leadership will be instrumental in elevating Firemind’s reputation as a thought leader in Generative AI, solidifying the company’s position as a market leader, and enhancing its status as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) consultancy partner.
