Bearded Fishermen Charity, a UK-based charity offering mental health support and suicide prevention, have released a new single, ‘Don’t Be Silent Tonight’, in an effort to spread their message.
The track, which was written and sung by Cat Winter with assistance from local musicians and the choir from Lincoln University and produced in University of Lincoln’s studios, has been uploaded to major music sites such as Amazon, iTunes and Spotify, and entered into the UK and US charts.
Chairman Rick Roberts and Vice-Chairman Mick Leyland have said: “We are really hoping it does well and gets noticed by a lot of people around the world as this will highlight the need to help people and be there for one another, especially at this time of year when it can be a very lonely time.”
The charity is appealing for people to join in and help promote the song, hoping it will be heard by a wide audience. Established 4 years ago, Bearded Fishermen Charity has provided mental health support and suicide prevention services, such as a 24/7 call centre and free peer support and counselling, to people across the UK.
