Annual Fundraising Beneficiary Named by Fareham Rotary Club as Lockswood Care Centre

Age Concern Hampshire is pleased to announce that they have been chosen as the beneficiary of this year’s fundraising efforts by the new president of the Fareham Rotary Club, Robert Hitchins. The announcement was made on Monday 9 September, 2024.

The selection of Age Concern Hampshire’s Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre will greatly benefit the local community and the charity is grateful for the support. The president and members of the Rotary Club were invited to a Garden Party on 4th September 2024 at the Centre, where they were able to enjoy a homemade lunch and interact with clients, volunteers, and support staff.

Hannah Parks, Head of Operations at Age Concern Hampshire, expressed her gratitude for the support from Robert Hitchins and the Fareham Rotary Club. She stated, “Their commitment will make a significant impact on the lives of older people in our community, helping us to continue providing essential services at our Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre.”

Age Concern Hampshire is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older individuals in Hampshire. Their Lockwood Care and Wellbeing Centre in Locks Heath offers a range of services such as Day Care, Foot Care Clinics, and one-on-one IT sessions to the local community. With the support from the Fareham Rotary Club, Age Concern Hampshire will be able to enhance its facilities and assist more individuals in need.

Established in 1985, Age Concern Hampshire has been providing support to the older community in Hampshire. The charity offers various services, including Help at Home, Information Hub, Foot care clinics, Hospital to Home Services, and Community Information Volunteer Services, through their Care & Wellbeing centres located throughout the county.
