Marmalade Game Studio, in collaboration with Days of Wonder, Asmodee Entertainment, and Twin Sails Interactive, is thrilled to announce an upcoming Ticket to Ride video game for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. Set to release on Steam in November 2023, with availability on other platforms in 2024, this game promises to bring a fresh perspective to the beloved board game created by Alan R. Moon, enhancing the core gameplay with immersive graphics and high production values.
Ticket to Ride, originally published by Days of Wonder, an Asmodee studio, is a family game that has received accolades, including the Spiel des Jahres (best game of the year) award in 2004, and is considered one of the finest board games ever crafted. With over 15 million copies sold worldwide, Ticket to Ride is a resounding success and a must-have addition to any board game collection. This new video game adaptation aims to introduce Ticket to Ride to an even broader audience, catering to those who haven’t had the opportunity to play the physical game and seasoned players looking for a convenient, on-the-go experience.

The current version of the game, developed by Twin Sails, will be rebranded as “Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition” in all existing stores. Importantly, this version will be removed from PC and mobile stores starting from October 3rd, with console editions available until April 2024. In-app purchases, such as acquiring new maps, will no longer be possible.

For current owners of “Ticket to Ride: Classic Edition,” the game will remain accessible in their game libraries, allowing uninterrupted enjoyment. This transition ensures that existing players with the game and DLCs can continue playing and relishing the Ticket to Ride experience, even after it becomes unavailable for new downloads.
