Berlin to Host World Health Summit, Discussing Global Health and Strategies for a Healthier Future

Berlin will be hosting the annual World Health Summit from October 13-15, 2024. The event will bring together international experts and decision-makers from all sectors to discuss important topics such as the financing of WHO, Germany’s role in global health, antimicrobial resistance, Mpox, and digitalization, under the motto “Building Trust for a Healthier World.”

With over 350 speakers and several thousand participants expected, including ministers, government officials, representatives from science, the private sector, civil society, and international organizations, the summit aims to find solutions and strategies for a healthier future for all.

The main event of the WHS 2024 will be the presentation of the WHO Investment Round on Monday, October 14, at 6:00 PM CEST. Confirmed speakers for the event include German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and Bill Gates, Chair of the Gates Foundation. The event, “All for Health, Health for All: Signature Event for the WHO Investment Round,” will be co-hosted by Germany, France, and Norway, key supporters of the WHO Investment Round.

The entire main program of the World Health Summit will be open to the press, and for those who cannot attend in person, the over 60 sessions will be available to watch live online for free at www.worldhealthsummit.org.
