TAAH is delighted to announce their debut at the 1:54 Art Fair in London this October. Featuring the works of Theresah Ankomah, Ibrahim Bamidele, and Frederick Botchway, the show will explore themes such as personal identity, societal discourses, transnational trade, politics, religion, and intimate reflections on life.
Established in 2013, 1:54 Art Fair is the premier international event dedicated to contemporary African art. With editions in London, New York, Marrakech, and a pop-up fair in Paris, the fair provides a platform for artists and galleries to promote a diverse range of perspectives.
At TAAH, the participating artists will be presenting new, thought-provoking collections. Theresah Ankomah’s works investigate the intersections of craft and trade, while Ibrahim Bamidele draws inspiration from his personal experiences to produce compositions addressing political, religious, and societal issues. Frederick Botchway’s practice is experimental, incorporating photography, cooking oil, and various editing techniques to create quasi-non-representational compositions.
TAAH’s aim is to facilitate meaningful engagements between artists and collectors, providing exclusive access to remarkable artworks and inspiring a journey of discovery and investment. The 1:54 Art Fair is one of many channels TAAH intends to use to enable this connection.
