On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Shincheonji Cheongju Church made history by hosting the largest single denomination event ever recorded. A total of 111,628 graduates, including 3,377 pastors, were in attendance. The event, originally planned to take place at Paju Peace Nuri, was relocated to the Shincheonji Cheongju Church due to the Gyeonggi Tourism Organisation’s last-minute cancellation.
The Zion Christian Mission Centre, under the direction of Director Tan Young-jin and Chairman Lee Man-hee of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, held its “115th Zion Christian Mission Centre 110,000 Union Graduation Ceremony” on October 30th. Despite the change in venue, the event ran smoothly and without any safety incidents.
During his sermon at the graduation ceremony, Chairman Lee emphasized the importance of working together to make the country shine, rather than condemning or persecuting one another. The event, which focused on safety and order, also welcomed over 10,000 international graduates and 1,000 religious leaders from various countries. Additionally, 3,377 pastors graduated, and 6,203 pastors are currently enrolled in courses at the Zion Christian Mission Centre.
A special performance was held in the square in front of the Shincheonji Cheongju Church building, promoting unity and peace among religious individuals. This received a resounding applause from attendees. Many graduates who were unable to attend in person joined the ceremony online from Shincheonji Church branches across the country and overseas.
Chairman Lee expressed his congratulations to the graduates, stating, “In the Bible, it says the tree of life bears 12 fruits every month. You are the reality,” and encouraged them to freely share what they have learned. He also highlighted the importance of gratitude towards the church one grew up in and the need to continue learning, growing, and sharing.
Pastor Kang, who spoke as a representative after receiving his certificate, shared his experience of falling in love with the truth and immediately beginning to preach after just three days of studying at the Zion Christian Mission Centre. He also mentioned the positive impact the cooperation with Shincheonji Church of Jesus has had on his congregation.
Furthermore, the church conducted a survey among 1,485 youth graduates (aged 19-39) from the 115th class, which showed a satisfaction rate of 99.59% for the content and structure of the missionary centre’s lectures and 92.66% citing Bible teaching as the reason for their satisfaction. The average score on the final exams for domestic and international graduates of the 115th class was 96.5, demonstrating the excellence of the education system.
According to an official from the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, all graduates of the 115th class have studied and been tested on the entire Bible, making the church’s educational system unique and leading to rapid growth. As a result, some domestic and international churches have sought cooperation with the church. Distributed by https://pressat.co.uk/
